Now hiring: we are hiring a hand presser in Miami-Dade County, Florida. You will be based in a garment export house. Your main tasks: • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Give each garment a final press before packing • Hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron Requirements: • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment Six days a week, one day off.
