Vacancy available: we are hiring a steam press operator in Chenango County, New York. You will hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing; spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron; use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
