Immediate opening: we are hiring a butcher in Starr County, Texas. The job is at a busy retail butcher's shop. What we are looking for: • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • 2+ years experience working as a butcher Day to day you will portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights; season and marinate meat on request; debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife; weigh, price and label cuts for the display case; trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts; run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone.
