Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers • 2+ years experience working as a butcher The role involves: • Weigh, price and label cuts for the display case • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders • Run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone • Keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled • Keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
