Immediate opening: we are hiring a meat cutter in Monroe County, Indiana. The job is at an abattoir or slaughterhouse. You should have: • 2+ years experience working as a butcher • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required On the job you will handle: • Debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife • Run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone • Dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date • Keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
