You should have: • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear On the job you will handle: • Take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
