Immediate opening: we are hiring a steam press operator in Potter County, Texas. The job is at a dry cleaner's. You will shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press; spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; give each garment a final press before packing; sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number. What we are looking for: • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment 6+ years on the tools preferred.
