TIG welder — Jibia

Immediate opening: we are hiring a TIG welder in Jibia, Katsina State. The job is in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. Day to day you will run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces Part-time with flexible hours.
