Counter butcher — Scott County

Join our team: we are hiring a counter butcher in Scott County, Iowa. You will work at a halal meat counter. Day to day you will trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts; run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone; debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife; break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts. What we are looking for: • Quick and accurate on the weighing scales and order maths • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • 2+ years experience working as a butcher Pay around $3,300 per month, based on your experience. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
