Die-casting operator — Barpeta

Join our team: we are hiring a die-casting operator in Barpeta, Assam. You will be based in the fettling and dressing shop. The role involves skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture. Ideally you have physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings; understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling. At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
