Hydraulic crane operator — Saint Clair County

Now hiring: we are hiring a hydraulic crane operator in Saint Clair County, Illinois. The job is at a container port and shipping yard. Ideal candidate: • Understanding of hand and radio signals • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination • Able to read load charts and lifting plans You will rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams; set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground; help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone; carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block; climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins; park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift.
