Now hiring: we are hiring a track-type tractor operator in Sheffield, England. You will work on a road construction project. Requirements: • Safety awareness around banksmen, trucks and other plant • Valid heavy equipment or plant operator licence • Physically fit for climbing on and off the machine The role involves: • Spread imported fill in even layers ready for compaction • Push-load motor scrapers during bulk earthmoving • Follow GPS and laser grade control to hit design levels • Carry out pre-start checks on tracks, hydraulics, coolant and engine oil • Backfill trenches and foundations once services are laid Six days a week, one day off.
