Great opportunity: we are hiring a hoist operator in Union County, Illinois. The job is in a warehouse fitted with overhead cranes. On a typical shift you will watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity; keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL); follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger; work out the load weight and the lifting radius; read and interpret the load chart before every lift; hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control. You should have: • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination Six days a week, one day off. Overtime paid at a premium rate.
