Fusing press operator wanted in Middlesbrough

Join our team: we are hiring a fusing press operator in Middlesbrough, England. The job is at a garment factory. Day to day you will set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents; press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching; sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number. What we are looking for: • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Pay around £12 per hour, based on your experience. Meals and transport allowance provided. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
