Lathe programmer-operator — Knowsley

We are recruiting: we are hiring a lathe programmer-operator in Knowsley, England. The job is on the CNC turning shop floor. Day to day you will set up workpieces in three-jaw chucks and collets; write and edit G-code programs at the control; top up coolant and clear swarf from the bed; change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear; set tool offsets and establish work zero (G54). You should have: • Working knowledge of G-code and M-code • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred • Able to hold tolerances to ±0.01 mm We offer £2,550 per month plus benefits.
