Lifting rigger — Edgefield County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a lifting rigger in Edgefield County, South Carolina. On the job you will handle: • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio Requirements: • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
