Great opportunity: we are hiring a brickwork mason in Mitchell County, North Carolina. You should have: • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools The role involves: • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod 6+ years on the tools preferred.
