Join our team: we are hiring a steam press operator in Nome Census Area, Alaska. You will work at a garment factory. Ideal candidate: • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work On a typical shift you will keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching; remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots; meet the daily piece target without damaging garments.
