Cement mason — Grant County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a cement mason in Grant County, New Mexico. You will be based in a residential housing project. Ideal candidate: • ITI in masonry or civil work an added advantage • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods • Willing to wear safety boots, helmet and full PPE Day-to-day duties: • Lay PCC blinding and the damp-proof membrane over the prepared subgrade • Cut control and expansion joints at the correct spacing • Compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing • Float and trowel surfaces with a bull float and power trowel for a smooth finish • Strip and clean formwork once the concrete has gained strength • Load, hoist and barrow concrete to the upper floors Performance bonus on top of base pay.
