Now hiring: we are hiring a plant operator (dozer) in Kiowa County, Oklahoma. The job is at an open-cast mine. Ideal candidate: • Good understanding of cut-and-fill and batter slopes • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and uneven terrain Day to day you will refuel the machine and record running hours; work to the dig plan and the banksman's signals; maintain haul roads and keep drainage falls clear; strip topsoil and stockpile it for later reuse; backfill trenches and foundations once services are laid; spread imported fill in even layers ready for compaction.
