Turning centre operator • Zapata County, Texas

We are recruiting: we are hiring a turning centre operator in Zapata County, Texas. You will be based at an auto-components manufacturing unit. What we are looking for: • Minimum 2 years on CNC lathes with Fanuc or Siemens controls • Experience with carbide tooling and insert selection • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred The role involves load and index turning tools in the turret; run facing, turning, boring, grooving and threading cycles; watch the machine through the cycle and clear alarms or crashes; measure finished parts with micrometers and vernier calipers; deburr and chamfer machined parts by hand; set up workpieces in three-jaw chucks and collets. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
