Bricklayer — Tyrrell County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a bricklayer in Tyrrell County, North Carolina. The job is at a residential building site. Day-to-day duties: • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb What we are looking for: • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) Full-time with occasional weekends.
