Power float operator • Edgar County, Illinois

Great opportunity: we are hiring a power float operator in Edgar County, Illinois. You will work in a residential housing project. On a typical shift you will compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing; fix and tie reinforcement bars and mesh as per the bar bending schedule; float and trowel surfaces with a bull float and power trowel for a smooth finish; strip and clean formwork once the concrete has gained strength; mix concrete to the specified grade (M15, M20, M25) by hand or in a mixer; carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab. You should have: • 2+ years on RCC and concreting works • Willing to wear safety boots, helmet and full PPE • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long hours on your feet Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
