Press operator wanted in West Lothian

Immediate opening: we are hiring a press operator in West Lothian, Scotland. The job is in a forging and pressing unit. You should have: • Basic understanding of metal grades and thicknesses • Physically fit to stand a full shift and lift blanks up to 20 kg • Attention to detail and steady hands for accurate loading The role involves: • Check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges • Adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings • Carry out first-off inspection and report rejects to the supervisor • Deburr and stack finished components for the next operation • Punch, blank, pierce, bend and form sheet metal components Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
