Urgent requirement: we are hiring a laundry presser in Highland County, Virginia. On a typical shift you will keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents; use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics. Ideal candidate: • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
