Mechanical press operator — Montgomery County

Now hiring: we are hiring a mechanical press operator in Montgomery County, New York. You will be based in a forging and pressing unit. You will deburr and stack finished components for the next operation; adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings; load metal sheets, blanks and coils onto the press bed; apply die lubricant and keep the tooling clean; operate mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic power presses; carry out first-off inspection and report rejects to the supervisor. Ideal candidate: • ITI in fitter, machinist or sheet metal trade preferred • Knowledge of press safety, guarding and lockout-tagout • Physically fit to stand a full shift and lift blanks up to 20 kg A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
