Immediate opening: brick and block layer (Texas)

Now hiring: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Hopkins County, Texas. You will work at a renovation and extension job. Day to day you will mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays; setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge; forming arches, piers and reveals around openings; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters. You should have: • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding Six days a week, one day off.
