Commis chef — Borough of Tameside

Immediate opening: we are hiring a commis chef in Borough of Tameside, England. You will prepare the mise en place before each service; cook dishes to order on the grill, fry and sauté stations; follow standardised recipes and stick to portion sizes; check deliveries and rotate stock using FIFO; marinate meats and prepare curries, gravies and bases; plate and garnish dishes for a quick pass to service. Ideal candidate: • Able to stand for long shifts and work in heat • Familiar with North Indian, tandoor and continental cooking • Able to read and follow recipes and dockets Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
