Banksman — Fayette County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a banksman in Fayette County, Iowa. On the job you will handle: • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position Ideal candidate: • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Confident with standard crane hand signals At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. Part-time with flexible hours. Meals and transport allowance provided. $19 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
