Urgent requirement: argon welding operator (England)

Great opportunity: we are hiring an argon welding operator in North Tyneside, England. You will work at a busy fabrication workshop. On a typical shift you will clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety 4+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time, day shift.
