Urgent requirement: we are hiring a formwork carpenter in Fairbanks North Star Borough, Alaska. The job is on a residential tower site. Requirements: • Skilled with circular saw, hand tools and spirit level • Able to keep pace with tight pour schedules • Sound understanding of props, bracing and load-bearing On a typical shift you will read formwork drawings and setting-out marks to position the shutters; brace and strut the formwork to stop movement during the pour; repair damaged plywood and timber shutters; fix soldiers, walers and tie rods to resist the concrete pressure; erect wall and column formwork to line, level and plumb; set up adjustable steel props and falsework to support the slab decking.
