Marble mason — Marion County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a marble mason in Marion County, Iowa. On a typical shift you will polish stone surfaces to a high gloss using diamond pads and polishing compound; cut marble and granite slabs on a bridge saw with diamond blades; fix marble cladding to building facades with anchors and clamps; grind and hone uneven floors flat before the final polish; work from cutting lists and installation drawings. You should have: • Able to read measurements, templates and cutting lists • Physically fit and able to lift and carry heavy slabs • Good eye for joints, levels and overall finish Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. $2,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
