Urgent requirement: we are hiring an overlocker operator in Petersburg Borough, Alaska. You will work on an export house sewing floor. Ideal candidate: • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching You will match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish. We offer $4,300 per month plus benefits. Meals and transport allowance provided. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
