Wheel loader operator • Gaston County, North Carolina

Great opportunity: we are hiring a wheel loader operator in Gaston County, North Carolina. You will be based at a plant hire yard. Day-to-day duties: • Backfill and compact soil around pipes and foundations • Keep a safe distance from excavation edges and overhead lines • Load trucks with spoil, aggregate and overburden using the bucket • Read site drawings and follow the batter and slope profiles • Work in coordination with the banksman and ground crew on signals Ideal candidate: • Willing to work at remote sites and mines on a roster • Able to read levels, pegs and basic site drawings Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. $240 per day, negotiable for the right hands. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
