The role involves strip old shingles and felt back down to the deck; set out battens to the correct gauge and spacing; bed and point ridge tiles with mortar; carry out leak inspections and patch repairs; replace cracked or slipped tiles and slates. You should have: • A driving licence is an advantage for site travel • Confident working at height on ladders and scaffolds • Able to read roof pitch and set the falls 3+ years on the tools preferred.
