Now hiring: we are hiring a press setter operator in Wythe County, Virginia. You will work at an auto components factory. On the job you will handle: • Fit and check guards, light curtains and safety interlocks before starting • Record output and downtime on the production sheet • Punch, blank, pierce, bend and form sheet metal components • Check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges • Run the press using two-hand controls and foot pedal safely • Feed blanks into the die and remove formed parts Ideal candidate: • Willing to work rotating day and night shifts • Can use vernier calipers, micrometers and go/no-go gauges Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
