Rigger — Putnam County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a rigger in Putnam County, Illinois. Day to day you will inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit. You should have: • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness Full-time with occasional weekends.
