Machine operator (earthworks) wanted in Douglas County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a machine operator (earthworks) in Douglas County, Illinois. You will be based at a drainage and utilities contractor. Requirements: • Proven experience on 360 tracked excavators (8t–30t) • Confident working to fine grade and tight tolerances Day to day you will clear sites, demolish structures and load out muck and rubble; work to laser, GPS or 2D/3D machine-control guidance; inspect tracks, bucket teeth and pins for wear before start-up; grade, level and batter slopes to the required gradient; work safely around buried services with a banksman or spotter. Part-time with flexible hours. Performance bonus on top of base pay. $4,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
