Now hiring: we are hiring a foundry operative in Lake County, Oregon. You will be based in the melting bay of a steel foundry. Requirements: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling The role involves maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges. 3+ years on the tools preferred. We offer $3,900 per month plus benefits. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Six days a week, one day off. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
