Foundry operative — Coos County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a foundry operative in Coos County, Oregon. You will be based in a non-ferrous casting shop. Ideal candidate: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Basic grinding and fettling skills The role involves: • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture Part-time with flexible hours. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. $3,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
