Immediate opening: we are hiring a system formwork carpenter in Nottinghamshire, England. You will be based at a reinforced concrete building site. Requirements: • Hands-on with timber, plywood and system formwork • Sound understanding of props, bracing and load-bearing On the job you will handle: • Fix soldiers, walers and tie rods to resist the concrete pressure • Repair damaged plywood and timber shutters • Set up adjustable steel props and falsework to support the slab decking • Fix stop ends and kickers at the construction joints • Box out openings for doors, windows and service penetrations • Check alignment with spirit level, plumb bob and string line Full-time, day shift. £2,950 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
