We are recruiting: we are hiring a TIG welder in Chisago County, Minnesota. The job is at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. Ideal candidate: • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety The role involves grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec.
