Now hiring: we are hiring a pipe TIG welder in Traverse County, Minnesota. The job is in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work Your main tasks: • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
