Hand presser — Baker County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a hand presser in Baker County, Georgia. You will work in a garment export house. You should have: • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory Day-to-day duties: • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
