Rigging foreman — Richmond County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a rigging foreman in Richmond County, New York. You will be based at a busy construction site. The role involves attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle. Requirements: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles $190 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
