Vacancy available: we are hiring a pressman in Gaya, Kano State. The role involves remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots; fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press. You should have: • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine Full-time with occasional weekends. ₦70,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
