Lifting rigger — York County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a lifting rigger in York County, Virginia. On a typical shift you will attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift. Requirements: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
