Foundry operative wanted in Archuleta County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a foundry operative in Archuleta County, Colorado. You will be based in a non-ferrous casting shop. Your main tasks: • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles Ideal candidate: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
