Pipe TIG welder — Greene County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a pipe TIG welder in Greene County, Alabama. You will be based in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. The role involves clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut. You should have: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. We offer $20 per hour plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
