Urgent requirement: we are hiring a fettler in Carroll County, Ohio. The role involves: • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture Requirements: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
